In case you haven't heard already, Sydney crew One Day are taking their One Day Sundays party up to a new level by turning it into a boutique festival at Manning House, titled One Day Only. The event was announced last week and almost instantly sold out of first release tickets, now with second release on sale, the team have announced the festival line-up and it's as big and diverse as we expected.
Headlining will be the multi-talented Anderson .Paak, the singer-producer-rapper-drummer whose career skyrocketed recently with six show-stealing appearances on Dr Dre's huge Compton. He'll no doubt be bringing material from that blockbuster album along with his own incredible piece of work, Venice, which was released late last year.
Not relying on just one act, the rest of the line up is a strong roster of talent that includes NZ legend P-Money, home-run hitting artist Thandi Phoenix, award-winning producer M-Phazes, sure-footed Melbourne emcee Baro, and a comprehensive list of One Day Sundays' finest DJs from the past years, including but not limited to Sampology, DJ Izm, and of course, Joyride and Adit (Horrorshow).
"We're really excited to host a crazy wealth of talent, both established acts and so many up and comers. This is a lineup we've curated and hand selected ourselves. We believe in each of these artists and we know they will deliver the goods", said Solo of One Day.
Aside from the the live music, attendees can expect a range of food stalls and a massive graffiti production alongside One Day's own unique style as they deck Manning House out with equal parts opulence and contemporary cool.
